What is an orthosis jacket?
An orthotic jacket is a medical device, usually custom-made, that is intended to support people with certain physical limitations. This can be for example for people with scoliosis, spasticity, or other conditions that affect posture and freedom of movement. The jacket can help correct or support posture, provide stability, or prevent further physical complications..
Full reimbursement
Omdat de leverancier gecontracteerd is binnen de WLZ, hoeft de zorgontvanger niet zelf voor de kosten op te draaien. 292 / 5,000 Because the supplier is contracted within the WLZ, the care recipient does not have to pay the costs themselves. The WLZ covers the costs in full, which means that the care recipient does not have to pay a personal contribution for this orthosis jacket, as long as it falls within the conditions of the WLZ.
Importance for the care recipient
For someone who needs long term care this is important because it means they have access to bespoke aids without financial barriers. This can significantly improve their quality of life through better mobility, comfort and support.
Requesting a custom-made orthotic jacket from the healthcare office via a contracted supplier offers several advantages for the occupational therapist or physiotherapist involved in the client's care:
1. Easy access to resources
Because the supplier is contracted and the orthosis jacket is fully reimbursed by the WLZ, the occupational therapist or physiotherapist has the certainty that the necessary aids are available without financial thresholds for the client. This ensures that the therapist can fully focus on the best care and the most suitable aid, without worrying about the costs or reimbursement.
2. Streamlined application process
A contracted supplier often means that there is a streamlined application and approval process between the care provider and the care office. This can lead to less administrative burden and faster delivery of the orthosis jacket, which means the client can be helped more quickly.
3. Quality assurance
Because the supplier has a contract with the care offices, there are usually certain quality standards and agreements about the service. The occupational therapist or physiotherapist can trust that the orthosis jacket is of high quality and meets the medical needs of the client. This reduces the risk of problems with the aid and increases the satisfaction of both the client and the care provider.
4. Better collaboration and support
Contracted suppliers often have close ties with healthcare providers, which can lead to better support, for example in the measurement, adjustments and aftercare of the orthosis jacket. This makes it easier for the therapist to make the right adjustments and to monitor the client's progress well
5. Insured compensation and administrative simplification
Working with a contracted supplier means that the reimbursement is arranged directly via the WLZ, without the therapist or client being confronted with unexpected costs afterwards. This also makes it administratively easier for the therapist, as there is less chance of rejections or problems with the reimbursement.
In summary, working with a contracted supplier ensures that the occupational therapist or physiotherapist can deploy the necessary resources more quickly and efficiently, with guaranteed quality and without financial or administrative obstacles.

Sign the packing slip and clients receive the coats
Our products are custom made in our own workshop. Delivery times may vary depending on the complexity of the custom products and the workload in our workshop.
Production of the custom product begins as soon as the colours and fabric choices have been finalised and the applications have been approved by the healthcare insurance office.
We work with batches to keep the production supply constant. This means that during a fitting appointment on location we measure multiple clients and process these measurements in batch form. This way, clients receive their coat at the same time..
A (zip-on) leg cover can be added to the order by the client during the fitting appointment. However, this leg cover is at your own expense and must be paid in full before production for both the jacket with leg cover, of that specific client can begin.

Our orthosis jackets are handcrafted with care and precision based on personal measurements taken during a fitting appointment. Since it is custom-made, winter and summer jackets may vary due to differences in linings. If a client has previously ordered a jacket from us, we cannot guarantee that a new jacket will be completely identical, as each piece is unique.
Although we do our utmost to deliver jackets of the highest quality, there may be small differences between products due to the handwork. However, if you notice a fault in your jacket, we request that you report this to us within 7 days of receipt. We will carefully assess the situation and look for a suitable solution.
If after reasonable use a seam, zipper or other part of the jacket is missing, we request that you report this problem to us. We will analyze this and if we can determine that it is a production error, we will carry out the repair. Damage due to wild behavior of the client or carelessness of a caregiver falls outside our responsibility.
Our goal is that every customer is satisfied with his or her orthosis jacket. We will always come to a reasonable solution in consultation. We want to emphasize that we are not responsible for damage that occurred during the delivery process; the delivery service is responsible for this.

- Hand wash is best: If possible, we recommend hand washing the jacket for the best care.
- Dry flat: Air dry the jacket by drying it flat on a clothes rack, away from direct sunlight.
- Spray with water-repellent textile spray: After drying, treat the jacket with a water-repellent textile spray to protect the fabric against moisture.
- Use a laundry bag: When using the washing machine, place the jacket in a laundry bag to prevent friction and wear.
Extra tip: Avoid using fabric softeners and bleaches as these can affect the water-repellent properties of the jacket.
